Data Methodology

AllGamesDB prioritizes official data, then compatible open datasets and reviewed public sources. Facts keep source, retrieval date and confidence metadata. Conflicts are recorded rather than hidden, and low-quality records are not automatically indexed.

Source hierarchy

We prioritize first-party materials published by a game’s developer, publisher or official documentation. Where first-party information is unavailable, we may use compatible open datasets, documented APIs, established reference projects or reviewed public sources. A source is assessed for relevance, recency, specificity and whether its claims can be checked independently.

Collection and normalization

Incoming information is mapped to a consistent record structure for each collection. Names, identifiers, categories and units may be normalized for browsing, while source URLs and retrieval details are retained. Missing information remains missing; it is not converted to zero, false or a guessed value.

Verification and confidence

Values may be classified as official, verified, cross-checked, community, unverified or conflict. The label describes the available evidence, not the popularity of a claim. Source priority can select the value shown on a page, but material alternate values and conflicts remain part of the provenance record for review.

Updates and game versions

Records can change when a game is patched, a new season begins or a source is corrected. Where the data supports it, AllGamesDB records a verification date and game version. An update date means the page or record was processed on that date; it does not guarantee that every underlying value changed.

Images and third-party material

Images are used only when a source and usage basis can be recorded. A page may use an external image, a locally processed copy, official artwork or a neutral placeholder. Image credits and source links are displayed when available, and the absence of an image does not reduce the record’s factual status.

Indexing and quality control

Records with insufficient information, unresolved conflicts or weak sourcing may be withheld from search indexing until reviewed. Automated import and normalization can assist collection, but publication quality decisions and material conflicts require review against the available evidence.

Corrections

Email ali@plinkod.com with the affected URL, field, proposed correction and supporting source. We review corrections against the same source hierarchy and update provenance when a change is accepted.
