# Thane's Authority

Thane's authority is a power level 4 two-handed melee weapon created using a blacksmith's bench. The recipe is learned by consuming a brutal bladehead, received randomly as a drop from killing garou thanes and the Garou King, at a 1/20 drop chance. It can be ascended at the mystic forge using ascension cores. Its special effect is +15% stamina cost, but it only has around +5% base damage compared to the other greataxes at lower power levels and a mere +1% base damage compared to the adamant greataxe at power level 7. The black greataxe has the same increased stamina cost, but has higher damage ranges at both power level 6 and 7 (146 - 256 vs. 141 - 246 and 176 - 308 vs. 170 - 298).
