# Abysmal Whip

The abysmal whip is a power level 4 one-handed melee weapon that can be created at a blacksmith's bench. The recipe, Abyssal Remains, can be acquired by killing an Abyssal Demon. It can be ascended at a mystic forge with ascension cores. This weapon's special effect is that regular attacks also build up bleed, and after five rapid hits, it will proc 28 damage at power level 4 and 40 damage at power level 7, despite only listing 25 for each. As this weapon deals slash damage, compared to swords, its attacks are slightly slower but slightly harder; however, its forward lunge distance is much shorter, and since enemies are knocked back significantly by most attacks, they will often be knocked out of this weapon's combos. It also does not have increased block without a shield compared to other similar weapons.
